Preservation inspection and repacking for 2 units of C600 Capstone Microturbines

TSI has performed the preservation inspection and repacking for 2 units of C600 Capstone Microturbines that are stored in transit in Dubai and on its way to an Oil & Gas customer in Iraq. Preservation inspection is required in the first six months and later every twelve months for long storage with an option to extend the warranty to the customer at their request.

C600 units generate 600 kW at ISO conditions. It is composed of 3 modules of C200, where the inherent redundancy guarantees availability of 99.9%. The multipack units C600, C800 and C1000 come in 30 ft containers for ease of transport, installation, and relocation with no special prerequisites of any civil work. It also comes with one single fuel inlet and one single electrical output, and completely automated load management ensuring highest efficiency across the load variation. It is also equipped with a remote control, monitoring and troubleshooting system for ease of operation and maintenance.

The pictures show how simple it is to open the machine, inspect it and maintain it with minimal requirements of any special tools. Each C200 Module requires only 6 hours of outage annually to perform the planned maintenance, and 16 hours every 5 years for major inspection, exceeding the availability and reliability of all other combustion based power generating units.

TSI can train and qualify customer personnel to perform the majority of the maintenance activities on Capstone Microturbines. TSI uses its remote diagnostic center in Dubai to support customers in their troubleshooting and maintenance 24/7.
